Our experienced researchers combine historic and contemporary mapping with airphoto interpretation and documentary evidence, from both primary and secondary sources, to identify the potential for archaeological remains on a site. This includes identifying the range and nature of features which may be present on a site as well as to interpret already known archaeological field remains.
We have produced detailed histories and analysis of sites for HLF projects. We have also produced and contributed to conservation statements and management plans for a range of sites. We have also designed and collated databases of excavated finds and collections.
Our extensive research experience has allowed us to become specialist in locating and interpreting mining records.
